After ten straight days battling L.A.’s wildfires and a grueling 24‑hour shift on the Eaton Fire, 20-year-old Fausto Lopez, a Pine Grove incarcerated firefighter, got life‑changing news at the Rose Bowl basecamp: not only was he being released, he’d earned a scholarship to Cal State San Bernardino.
