During my time incarcerated, I discovered my passion for creativity, delving into poetry and directing. Upon my release, ARC was my first stop, providing invaluable support during my time in Pelican Bay State Prison and now as I pursue my dreams. Despite initially entering the workforce to support my family, I felt a void – a yearning to serve others. Joining VTC filled that gap, offering tools for success in various fields through programs like DAPO, ARC, and Cal Fire. This commitment has transformed me into a better person, instilling values of respect, humility, and service. Now, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to potentially join Cal Fire, particularly in the San Diego unit.
